This evening our main computer froze up. I have tried various things but I think the hard drive died. We will take it in tomorrow afternoon. I'm using the back-up machine right now. We will continue to get e-mails but won't be checking them as often.
Bad news - good news - expensive news - The problem with the computer wasn't the hard drive - it was the logic board. The cost for replacing the logic board would be three-fourths (or more) of the price of a new computer. So we will be getting a new computer AND they think they will be able to save the contents of the old hard drive. We will see - stay tuned - Sunday or Monday will tell.

Oh, dear, that's frustrating. Hopefully, a replacement hard drive should get you going, but if not, hope you get one of the new iMacs with the built-in camera for iChatting. New Mac laptops should be out soon, too, and they have cameras. Price is supposed to be lower.
