March 26 - Snow!
We woke up to 26 degrees F and almost two inches of snow! It won't last long as temperatures will be going up. To see more ravine views go here. I'll make a link on the left for later use. I plan on adding a ravine view to the set every day.
Later in the day:
The snow had almost all melted but cold temperatures still persisted Friday night and Saturday morning.

Spring Begins!
I go by this rivulet nearly every day and for years I've been meaning to take pictures of it. This morning I finally did. I am going to try to photograph it every now and then in the different seasons.

A Green Post Box for Saint Patrick's Day!
In 2004 in Kildimo, County Limerick, Ireland, I saw this postbox. I noticed that it had started out as a Great Britain mail box - note the E R VII! Edward the seventh followed Queen Victoria in 1901 and reigned until 1910. In the U.K. post boxes are red, in Ireland they are green.
I asked the people in the post office about the box, wondering how there happened to be a U.K. mailbox in the Republic of Ireland. They said that that was the one they were sent when the requested a new box just a couple of years before. It seems the postal authorities recycle - green, indeed!

Something new - sorta
Until I saw it on another blog I didn't realize that you can embed Google Streetview in a blog. Here's Ledge Lane - you may scan around and zoom. I would guess rthis was taken back in the autumn of '08. You may notice that they blurred out the front porch - I think the program they were using to detect people thought the pumpkin was a person!
